Tyler Hill, 84, entered into rest on Saturday, June 3, 2023.
Tyler Hill was born January 29, 1939 in Wylam, Alabama, to the late Reese Hill and Mary Frances Wright-Hill, and his family moved to Hueytown, Alabama when he was 11 years old. Tyler served in the United States Army from April 11, 1958, until August 3, 1964. On October 16, 1965, Tyler entered into holy matrimony with Nellie in Brooklyn, NY.
Tyler had a humorous personality. He favored the Dallas Cowboys, and he loved to smoke his pipe. Tyler’s favorite quote was, "It is written, so it shall be done".
Tyler leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Nellie Hill of Waxhaw, NC; daughter, Felicia Hill of Waxhaw, NC; granddaughter, Elise C. Haylett of Waxhaw, NC; two sisters, Annie Arnold of Brooklyn, NY, and Debra Jean Banks (Willie) from Graysville, AL; sister-n-law, Virginia D. Hill of Birmingham, AL; brother, Walter Hill; and a host of nieces, nephew, relatives, and friends. In addition to his father and mother, Tyler is preceded in death by his brother, Winston C. Hill, and his grandson, Elito Haylett.
