Mr. Thomas "Tommy" Giddens, 70, of Grovetown, passed away on December 6, 2024.

Tommy was a lifelong Augusta area resident and a retired iron worker with the Local Union 709. He enjoyed watching golf, football and baseball, and he was also an avid watcher of Fox News. He also liked going to the lake to go out on his boat, and the beach was another favorite place to get away. Tommy was also an avid "foodie", always riding around to find new places to eat. Tommy also loved all of his family, and he will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Enoch Giddens, and Bertha Spurling; his wife, Kent Sizemore-Giddens; and his long-time loving companion, Patricia "Pat" Blankenship.

Survivors include his daughter, Stacy Jenkins (Jason); his daughters in heart, Amanda Jones (Daniel), Carla Allen, and Jennifer Kitchens (Tracy); his sisters, Julia Ann Jenkins (Harry), Judy Kerley, Kathy Smith, Brenda Allen (Gary), Gloria Hillman (Bart), and Linda Walden (Billy Ray); and his grandchildren, Parker Tharpe and Phenix Jenkins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 in the Thomas L. King Funeral Home chapel with Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Parker Tharpe, Stephen Joshua Jones, Phenix Jenkins, Justin Walden, Allen Powell and Keaton Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Daniel Jones and Cory Hillman.  The family will receive friends for a time of a visitation on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
