Thomas Zahare

 Thomas D. Zahare, 75 years old, went to be with Our Lord on October 6, 2021. Thomas, originally born in Beckley, West Virginia, and raised in Miami, Florida came to Augusta by being stationed at Fort Gordon as a Drill Instructor in 1976. Thomas retired from active duty in the Army after serving 20 years. 

     Thomas was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Zahare, father Joseph Zahare, his father Paul Phillips, his mother Mary Phillips and his grandson Thomas Todd. 

     Thomas is survived by his life partner Shirley Nadue, his brother Steve Zahare and sister in law Terry, his niece Crystal Thornton, (great nephew Evan, great niece Ainsley), niece Stephanie Hearting (her husband Jason, great nephew Daniel, great niece Murphy Grace), his brother Paul Philips. Thomas's children, son Raymond Bledsoe (Samantha), granddaughter Amber Bledsoe (her children Mariah Matthews and Londyn Johnson) granddaughter Mary Bledsoe, (her daughter River Cogdell), granddaughter Alexis Bledsoe (her daughter Stormi Robbins) his daughter  Trina Todd, his grandaughter Wendy Todd, (her children Jordan Craig, Matthew Craig, and Jacob Craig), grandson Joseph Todd (Summer),  granddaughter  Tina Todd (her  daughter Nadine Walker), his daughter Malissa Tucker (Randall), grandson Victor, his son Leonard Zahare (Angela) ,and former spouse Nadine Zahare.

       A celebration of life for Thomas will be held Tuesday October 12, 2021 at Thomas L. King Funeral Home 124 Davis Road Martinez, GA 30907 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the Thomas L. King Chapel. Interment with military honors immediately following at Bellevue Memorial Gardens 4501 Wrightsboro Road Grovetown GA 30813.
