Mrs. Rosalie Timmerman Howell, Entered into rest peacefully on September 24, 2021.
Born November 9, 1942 to the late Doris Laeuna Hutchins Kinney and the late Lenwood Earl Timmerman
She was preceded in death by her husband John Lamar Howell Jr, Son John Lamar Howell III, Granddaughter Kayla Howell,
Sisters Brenda Kinney and Sara Jane Cason.
She is survived by her Daughter Teresa Lynn Wallace(Wayne) and Son Phillip Lee Howell Sr(Dawn). She leaves behind her
Grandchildren Wayne Wallace(Tiffany), Phillip Howell Jr(Tracy), Lindsay Howell Dukes(Jason), Donnie Lindberg(Stacy) and
John Lamar Howell IV. She also has numerous Great Grandchildren that she thought hung the moon as well as many Nieces and Nephews she dearly loved.
Left to cherish her memory are Sisters Pat(Johnny) Whitman, Hilda(Ray) Toulson. Brothers James(Beth) Timmerman,
John(Maura) Timmerman and brother-in-law Dean Cason
Longtime friends and Neighbors that were dear to her heart are Richard Mitchell(Beverly), Becky Wallace, Gail Meeks, Patsy Evans, Helen Shean and many more
In 1945 She was burned severely at the age of Three and spent more than a year in the hospital in Augusta. Multiple plastic surgeries throughout her life (15)
and was told she could never bear children due to her extensive scarring. She Had Three after weighing the desire to have children against her disabilities
She loved her Church and first attended services in 1968 after moving to McBean and spent many years as a faithful member
She graduated from Sparta High School in 1961, Attended and graduated from Bolands Business College in Augusta,
during this time, she met John after she whistled at him on Broad Street and they married quickly
In 1990 she was diagnosed with Scleroderma and only given Ten years to live. She was instrumental and had direct responsibilities
In creating a Scleroderma foundation in Augusta where she arranged many fundraisers
Always helping and had blunt honesty in her opinions, but would also offer a kind ear afterwards
She loved spending time with her family and always asked for an "Amazing Roll(Sushi)" when asked what she wanted to eat.
Those that knew her understood her passion, Love and health issues she had and her love for the Georgia Bulldogs. Always a fighter, She will be dearly missed
and we will try to follow her example of "Things could be worse"
Funeral services will be held at Piney Grove Baptist Church in McBean Friday October 1st at 12:00pm and internment immediately following.
Family and Friends are welcome to come for visitation one hour before the service. Pallbearers will be Wayne Wallace Jr, Phillip Howell Jr, Donnie Lindberg, John L Howell IV, James Timmerman, Jason Dukes.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the Piney Grove Baptist Church - Brotherhood Association for their dedicated
help in Her yard work and housing upkeep.
The Family also wishes to thank her Daughter in Law, Dawn Marie Howell, for her unconditional support, Love, Friendship and Caring for all of her needs during
many Doctor visits, Grocery shopping, Clothes shopping, etc.... and tending to her so graciously during her last days. Thomas L. King Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
