Pat Webb Obituary

Priscilla (Pat) Spoor Webb of Grovetown, GA peacefully departed this life at home on Thursday, July 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Russell H. & Margaret B. Spoor and her granddaughter Alison B. Jones. Her surviving family includes her sister Mrs. Penelope (Donald) Weyenberg of Omro, Wisconsin; four daughters, Mrs. Linda (Calvin) Vrana, Mrs. Valerie (James) Haney, Ms. Tracy Webb Ellis, & Mrs. Angelique (Thomas) Stephenson; a son, Mr. Richard (Martha) Carpenter; and a beloved family friend, Mr. Claude Scott. She leaves a legacy of 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.

Pat was born in Wausaw, Wisconsin in 1932 and lived an active and varied life. She graduated from Menasha High School (Menasha, WI) in 1950, and attended Fox Valley Technical College. As a teen she was a nationally ranked swimmer and diver and joined the military, proudly serving in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. As a military spouse she and her family traveled extensively both overseas and in the US.

Professionally, Pat was an Interior Designer with JB White’s and Macy’s, from which she retired in 1998. She opened and managed The House of Textiles; however, her passion was serving for nearly two decades as a show steward and ring master, both regionally and nationally, with the National Arabian Horse Association, the Arabian Horse Show Association, and the United Stated Equestrian Federation.

Pat was a faithful parishioner of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior, Martinez serving as a long-time member of the kitchen teams for church breakfasts, luncheons, and dinners, and for Epiphany Youth Prison Ministry at the Augusta Youth Development Center.

A memorial service and internment will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 11:00 in the morning at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior, Martinez, The Rev. Al Crumpton officiating.
