Marvin Michael Malsam

Marvin Michael Malsam, 69, entered into rest on Monday, April 24, 2023, while being surrounded by his wife and children in Augusta, Georgia. 

He was the youngest of seven children and was born June 14, 1953, in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Marvin attended both South Dakota State and South Dakota University obtaining a Bachelors of Applied Science in Pharmacy and a Bachelors of Applied Science in Business. 

Marvin met the love of his life of 42 years, Elizabeth Olson, while attending South Dakota St University, marrying May 1980. 

He always called himself a “spaver” which he said is someone who saved to spend. He found hobbies in buying beanie babies, collecting coins, downloading movies, listening to 70’s music, watching Fox Business, and always having an eye on the stock market. Later in life, he always would talk about how perfect his life was and how he hit the lottery marrying Liz and having a son and daughter. He was a family man and always looked forward to seeing his children and grandchildren come to visit him. 

Marvin is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Nicole (Stephane) Hubert; son, Aaron Malsam; and grandchildren, Abigail Graybill, Ellie Hubert, Kamber Hubert, and Kaisen Hubert; sisters, Jean (Merle) Kiesel, Minnie (Dennis) Moulton, Bernadette (Jim) Tucker, and Carolyn (Sam) Benson (deceased); and brothers, Wendell (Rose) Malsam and Ronald (Rebecca) Malsam.
