LaMoine Gertrude Andrus, 79, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

LaMoine is preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert Thorne and Ethel Thorne (nee Swan); son, Gary M. Andrus; brother, Gary N. Thorne; and sister-in-law, Lorraine Thorne. Survivors include her son, Keith (Vera) Andrus of Cowpens, SC; daughter, Marci Clark of Augusta, GA; grandson, Caleb Andrus of Bremen, GA; granddaughter, Mabree Andrus of Cowpens, SC; granddaughter, Ella Cate Andrus of Cowpens, SC; grandson, Carson Clark of Augusta, GA; granddaughter, MacKenzie Clark of Jacksonville, FL; and honorary daughter, Cathy Campbell of Augusta, GA (for all the love and support she gave our mother. Our Mom loved her so much.)

LaMoine started her nursing career as a CNA, working at numerous places while continuing her education to further her nursing degree. She worked at University Hospital as an LPN and then as an RN, retiring as an RN from Aiken Regional in Aiken, SC.

She dedicated her life to her youngest son, Gary, until his passing at his age of 43. LaMoine was a very strong, independent, and selfless woman who didn't want to put anyone out for her needs.  She was also very crafty and talented woman who could make or sew anything. Her caring heart, strength, and kindness will be missed.
