Jimmy Walter (Walt) Farris Jr., the only child of the late Jimmy Walter Farris Sr. and (Late) Lorri Mozel Lunsford Farris, passed away unexpectedly on 2/2/2022. Walt was born in Bermuda on November 6, 1974. Walt worked in the food and beverage industry most of his adult life throughout Augusta. Joe’s Underground for many years, Mellow Mushroom, Logans Roadhouse and Carolina Ale House. He worked for Lowes in Evans before his death and made many friends there.

Walt had been a Son of the American Legion at the Columbia County, Evans, GA Post 192 for many years.

Walt was predeceased by his parents, grandparents and Aunt and Uncle (Ernie and Laverne Farris Wetzel. He is survived by his Step Mother of 26 years, Karen Gumm Farris, step sister, Felicia Brookover Donald (Steve) of Thomson, GA, and his step brother, David Roy Brookover, Jr, of St Marys, WV. Many step nieces and nephew spanning from Maine to California. He was loved by all of his cousins all over the CSRA, Maryland, and Florida. He absolutely loved Mrs Claudia Davison like a second mother.

Walt will be remembered as a polite, personable gentle man. A big teddy bear. He loved the Georgia Bulldogs and movies of every kind.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion, Post 192, Columbia County, 275 Legion Road, Evans, GA 30809 on February 15, 2022 at 11:00 am. The family requests that his friends and family speak about his antics and him. Be prepared, he was a colorful son/friend.

Interment at Westover Memorial Gardens, Augusta, GA will be held at a later date.
