Jerry Lee Burch

Jerry Burch of Augusta, GA went on to eternity on May 17th. Jerry was born in Dublin, GA on January 12, 1948, 2022. Jerry lost his beloved wife, Myra, in 2008. Everyone who met Jerry knew one thing, he loved Jesus! He was the first one to step up and offer a prayer for anything that you may be going through. He wanted everyone to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus, and he would tell them about it! In his last years, he became a member of Genesis Church and was adored by his church family. He especially loved his "very special baby, baby Jo Jo" and would light up when she came around. His giving heart was always there and he showed it with small gifts or cards as well as making sure he put a little in the plate at church every Sunday.
Jerry never passed up an opportunity to tell the ladies at the bank that they looked nice and had their hair fixed so nice. He would then say, I tried to do something with my hair, but it just didn't work! He had such a way of making people feel special. Jerry loved his coffee and his Dr. Pepper and there was very few mornings he didn't fix a couple frozen pancakes with syrup. He loved stopping at any restaurant that served greens, black eyed peas, okra, and cornbread. He loved riding in the green Jeep or brother Larry's black truck and would be sure to say how great the engine sounded. Jerry will be greatly missed by those of us that knew him, but rest assured, he is feasting at the table with Jesus and has several chairs that he is saving for us!

.Graveside services will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Westover Memorial Park, 2601 Wheeler Road, Augusta, Georgia 30904.
