Jeffrey Alan Martin, age 33, of Evans, Georgia passed away suddenly on March 15th, in Grovetown, Georgia.
Jeffrey was born in Augusta, to Carol Mancusi and Gary Martin. He attended Augusta Christian School, Evans High School and LakeSide High School. His chosen profession perfectly captured Jeff’s personality—a certified kiteboarding and snowboarding instructor who worked in North Carolina, Oregon, Montana, and Mexico. Jeff loved sharing his passion for the sports that he loved with others. When Jeff wasn’t teaching he was enjoying his sports, friends and life!
All who knew Jeff appreciated his free spirit, adventurous nature, love for life and the outdoors, and of course, anything related to kiteboarding. His life was spent doing what he truly loved—traveling, seeing new places, meeting new people, and kiteboarding. Simply put, Jeff lived life to the fullest. Sadly, he never got to realize a few special entries on his bucket list—one being kiteboarding in New Zealand, traveling the world to enjoy kiteboarding in various places. It had become a significant part of who Jeff was. Anyone that knew Jeff knew of his passion for kiteboarding.
Jeffrey is survived by his mother, Carol Mancusi; step-father, Robert Mancusi; sisters, Jennifer Henning, Shanna Reyes, Kathleen Kirkman and Mia Mancusi; step-brothers, Christopher, Todd and Robert Mancusi; grandfather, Paul Abel; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and scores of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Gary Martin; grandparents, R.V. Martin, Melba Martin, and Margaret Abel.
Jeff will be dearly missed by the family who loved him, and the many people who called him friend.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 19th, 2022 at InMOTION Church, 1130 Washington Road, Thompson, Georgia 30824. Memorial gifts may be made in Jeffrey’s name to his GoFundMe account under “Jeffrey Martin’s Funeral Arrangements.”
