Jay Olmstead, 66, of Hephzibah, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Jay grew up in the Jacksonville Florida area but later resided in Hephzibah for many years. He was retired as a warehouse worker from Toyota after 31 years; after moving to Augusta, he owned the JLO Delivery Service. Jay loved his Lord and never gave up on his faith. He was an avid golfer, Florida State fan and Braves fan. Jay never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who ever met him. He also loved all of his cats. Jay's best love of all though was for his wife Belinda who he was always with and his daughter Jayci. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Jay is preceded in death by his parents, Howard Olmstead and Mercel Prim.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Belinda Olmstead; his daughter Jayci Emmons (Matt); two precious grandchildren, Alex and Ryleigh Emmons; his brother, Jim Olmstead; sister Janelle Hartley (Gary); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Cathy Henderson; sister-in-law, Robbie Padgett; his best friend, Fred Ogden, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.

Celebration of life services will be held at a later date.
