James Glenn "Jay" Mims III, Age 47, entered into rest peacefully, Saturday, September 17th, 2022, at his residence in Aiken, SC, with his soulmate Nina Torres at his side.

Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Lynn Hicks Waseleski. He is survived by his father, James Glenn "Buzzy" Mims, Jr. of Evans, GA; His children, Ashlyn Mims (John) Sharp, and Andrew Mims; His sister, Suzanne Mathis; His brother, Patrick (Ashton) Mims; his four nephews, Carter, Cash, Ryder, and Jack; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jay was an electrician by trade, but loved motorsports, fishing, and his dog "Tonka".

The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life Visitation from 3:00 - 5:00pm on Saturday, September 24th, 2022, at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez, Georgia 30907
