James Reeves Obituary

Mr. James William "JimBob" Reeves entered into rest on Saturday October 31, 2020. Mr. Reeves is the son of the late Edward and Beatrice Reeves. He’s also preceded into death by his brother Steve “Happy” Reeves. He is survived by 2 brothers Larry Reeves (Alice) and Ronnie Reeves (MaeBeth) and 1 sister Linda Reeves. He is also survived by his children, Christopher Reeves, Jennifer Zapata (Michael) and Danielle Tudor (Steve) and 1 stepson Brandon Reeves (Melinda). Mr. Reeves had 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mr. Reeves was born August 4,1951 in Richmond County, Augusta Ga where he lived his whole life. He worked mostly as a Sales Clerk where he was loved by many of his regular customers. Mr. Reeves loved his parents dearly and had a close relationship with his sister Linda, whom he shared his home with in his final years. Mr. Reeves enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and The Andy Griffith Show. His radio stayed on the classic country station, better known to him as his “thump thump”. He loved to get in his car with no real destination in mind, he called this “going on a ‘cursion”. Outside of his hobbies he enjoyed time with family and food. He looked forward to every holiday dinner just to eat Alice’s oyster dressing and deviled eggs. If you came to visit him, he requested that you bring a Papa John’s pizza and a Mountain Dew. Mr. Reeves stayed in poor health but because of God’s amazing grace, he seemed to overcome those hurdles, from open heart surgeries, colon cancer and diabetes. Though he is no longer here with us, he is fishing with his parents and brother off a riverbank. This Thanksgiving the family plans to honor him and his memory.  Thomas L.
