Hershel W. Blair (aka Wayne), 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

Wayne was born April 29, 1955, in Goshen, Alabama. He was a 1974 graduate of Goshen High School. He then went to trade school where he became a certified welder. Wayne married Sherrie Foshee, and they had two daughters named Brittany and Taylor. Wayne worked for the railroad for 35 years and then retired. He spent his days watching football, grilling out, and spending time with his family. Wayne was a loving father and grandfather.

Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Sherrie Blair; his father and mother, Herschel Blair and Gladys Blair; sisters, Martha Jean Blair, Dorothy Campbell, and Geraldine B. Hill; and brother, Wiley Blair. Wayne is survived by his daughters, Taylor Blair and Brittany Blair; grandchildren, Makayla Smith, William Bell, Noah Cliett, and Liberty Howard; sisters, Linda Johnson, Rita Green, and Darlene Spencer; brothers, Randy Blair, John Blair, Curtis Blair, Glen Blair, Roger Blair, and Eugene Blair; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be So he put his arms around you and whispered, "come to me".

With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away and although we love you dearly we could not make you stay
