Gordon Crawford

Gordon Blanchard Crawford Jr. went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday August 25, 2021 at 84 years old. He was born in Augusta, Ga to Gordon Blanchard Crawford Sr. and Frances Jewel Crawford. A proud Korean Veteran, he joined the Navy at only 17 years old. He served as a radioman on the U.S.S Oriskany. He could often be found in his veterans hat thanking others for their service. Gordon was a devoted and loving husband to Patsy Ann Crawford for 37 years. Together they traveled the U.S doing evangelical work and preaching as guest pastors at the churches of many friends. Their home church was "Lakeview Assembly of God" led by good friends Pastors Charlie and Fay Benson. He is survived by his daughter Lori Faith Mundy Crawford and two sons John Mark Crawford and Gordon Blanchard Crawford III. He had six step daughters through his wife Patsy: Cynthia Glover, Angela Alexander, Jennifer Roth, Laurie Newsome, Christie Pirtle, and Tiffany Newman. A blessed man, Gordon is also survived by 26 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, many nieces and Nephews and countless others who will remember him affectionately as the good spirited and kindhearted man that he was. Services held at the Thomas L King funeral home on Wednesday September 1st , 11am. The viewing will be held same day from 9-11am . The family will be accepting donations.
