Geralene (Grant) Marshall

Geralene Marshall, age 71, of Martinez, GA, passed away on February 20th, 2022 of natural causes.

Geri was born on September 5th, 1950 to James Grant, Sr. and Johnnie Mae Ellison in Hinesville, GA. In 1978, she met US Army Captain Wilbur Marshall, Sr. and they were wed in marriage in 1979. She obtained several degrees including a BS in Healthcare Management and BA in Education. She was afforded successful careers in Hospital Administration and she also became an Educator.

She is survived by sisters, Laura Mae Wynn and Anita Muse (Joseph); brothers, James Grant, Jr., Michael Grant, and Arthur Lee; her children, Donna E. Adams, Michelle L. Adams, and Tavine L. Marshall; six grandchildren, Ammari Koonce, Sr., Durayd Koonce, Angela Koonce, William Marshall, Kaliyah Turner, and Michael Marshall; three great-grandchildren, Leah Koonce, Ammari Koonce, Jr., and Nazir Mohammed. Geralene was preceded in death by her son, Wilbur Marshall, Jr.. She also leaves behind close cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends who cherished her deeply.

Through her loving and infectious personality, she won many over as she declared herself a servant of God and Jesus (as only she would say) and shared Him with everyone she came in contact with!

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 4, 2022, in the Chapel at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd, Martinez, GA 30907. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
