Garry Lawrence

Our dearly beloved, Garry (Bud) Lawrence, 62, departed this world on August 15, 2021. A devoted husband, father, son, grandfather, and friend he was loved and admired by many.

Always a hard working man, he joined the Army serving in the 36th Field Artillery Legiment in Augsburg, Germany. After his Military service he went on to work in the truck and heavy equipment repair industry, employed by Bunch Truck and Equipment of Garden City, GA, for many years. He eventually re-located to Augusta GA, there he met and married the love of his life Margaret Anne (Merritt) Lawrence and became service manager for Case Equipment.

Bud leaves behind a loving family. In addition to his wife Margaret, survivors include his five children Cindy (Dale) Bradford, Christina (Chris Moon) Morgan,Hudson Lawrence, Chloe Lawrence, and Charles Merritt III, 13 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. His parents Eugene and Theresa Lawrence, sisters Laurie, Shari, and Karen, brother Tony Lawrence as well as extended family including his Uncle Weldon (Barbara) Barnes and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 PM Saturday August 21, 2021 in the fellowship hall at Christ Sanctified Holy Church, and a memorial service will be held on Sunday August 22, 2021 at the church at 2:00 PM. The family requests that those attending the visitation and service please wear a mask and practice social distancing, and if you have any symptoms related to COVID to please stay home. Thomas L.
