Forrest Jackson (Jack) Storey, Jr. died peacefully in his sleep at his residence January 12, 2021.
He was the only son of the late Forrest Jackson Storey, Sr. and the late Iris Whitman Storey. His paternal grandparents were the late Forrest Cluese Storey and Margaret Jackson Storey and his maternal grandparents were the late James Lambert Whitman and Lucille Malone Whitman. Jack is survived by his wife of 42 years, Harriette Clark Storey, his son Mark Jackson Storey, his grandson Chase Jackson Storey, his sister Jeanne S. Gropp (Billy), his niece Raven E. Gropp and his faithful dog Chance.
Jack was a life-long resident of the Augusta area and a graduate of Richmond Academy. He always had a deep love for fishing and cars. In 1967, he began Dixie Auto Parts, an Augusta landmark on Jackson Rd for many years. In 1993, he became co-owner of Martinez Auto Parts with his sister Jeanne. In 1995, he founded Pro Coatings Supply, Inc. which included Evans Machine Shop and J&M Golf Carts.
A graveside service will be held on Friday January 15, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Dewain French officiating.
