Edward Starnes Obituary

Edward Quinton Starnes, 76, of Atlanta GA, passed away after a single car accident just outside of Augusta GA on Monday, October 23, 2023, just shy of his 77th birthday.

Ed was born to Grover and Lorena Starnes on November 2, 1946, and was the third of four sons. He and his previous wife of many years, Linda McDonald Starnes, built a family with 3 sons of their own and 5 grandchildren. Ed utilized his multi-skills in a variety of manufactory roles throughout his years of work, eventually retiring from Clayton County driving for road services.

Ed was preceded in death by his eldest son, Matthew Edward Starnes; and his grandson, Maddox Landon Starnes. He is survived by his sons, Joseph Brian (Tiffany) Starnes and Lewis Clinton (Maria) Starnes; grandchildren, Valerie (Christopher) Tucker, Brandon Starnes, Avery Starnes, and Jaden Starnes; and great-grandson, Paul Tucker.

Ed’s tendency to joke around with a competitive spirit and his discussions of the good ole days will be missed and for sure will be legendary.
