Daniel Carey Powell, Sr.

Daniel Carey Powell Sr., 51, entered into rest October 20, 2023 at his residence.

Daniel (Carey) was born December 3, 1971 in Augusta, GA. He worked at Georgia Carolina Stucco for many years.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He was also very creative and loved to paint. He spent much of his time working with his hands and creating the works of his imagination.

Survivors include his son Daniel Powell Jr., daughter Faith Powell, and their mother Shannon Powell; brothers Frank Powell and Mark Powell; and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Shirley Touchstone and Frank Powell Sr.; and sister Janie Bailey.

He will be laid to rest at Westover Memorial Park. 

Memorial services with the family will be held on Wednesday, November 01, 2023, between 5:00PM to 7:30PM at Savannah Rapids Pavilion, 3300 Evans to Locks Rd, Martinez, GA 30907. The memorial will be informal with many pictures and light finger food indoors in the Red Cedar Room. Guests may visit at any time.
