Corrie Baston Thomas, formerly of 3517 Rainbow Street Martinez, Georgia., age 87, entered into rest with her Lord and Savior April 21st, 2022, at AU Health. Corrie was born in Appling, Georgia on October 6th, 1934, to Marshall and Gladys Baston. Corrie was raised by the river in Evans where her father was a fisherman. She married Walter Thomas, a soldier at Fort Gordon, at age 16 and spent 20 years traveling the world with him. In 1971, she got remarried to Gilbert Miller, and they were married for 10 years.
Surviving are her son, Bruce (Mildred) Thomas of Evans; daughter, Debbie Battaglia of Martinez; and sister, Myrtle Tyler of Edgefield, SC. Corrie is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her ex-husbands, Walter Thomas and Gil Miller; her son, Brian Thomas; sisters, Romona Smith and Jean Morris; and brother, John Baston.
In her younger years, Corrie and Gil loved hanging out at the lake with lifelong friends Kathy and Marion Hawk, bowling in leagues, fishing, and going to the mountains. Corrie had a green thumb and anything she planted would grow. She was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She loved her family, friends, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will truly be missed by all.
