Mr. Young was the son of the late Alvin R. Young, Sr and Janie Lankford Church of Augusta, GA. He was a native of Columbia County, residing in Grovetown, GA for nearly his whole life. Taking care of his family was always his top priority and he went the extra mile to ensure their well-being. He absolutely enjoyed visiting family and friends (he didn’t know a stranger). His hobbies included going Turkey Shooting, fishing, going to the flea market (to walk around and talk to people), and watching NASCAR Cup races (Hhhaaaaa….get’em Chase!). Mr. Young was a Master of his trade. He hung and finished sheetrock for over 50 years in the CSRA and surrounding areas where he met countless friends along the way. If you ever had the pleasure of working with him, you learned the values of hard work and dedication. Ask anyone who worked with him, they always learned something and made fun lasting memories along the way.
