Beverly Swan Morgan was born in Augusta, Georgia, where she continued to live throughout the majority of her adult life. She was a hairdresser for 35 years and owned Beverly’s Hair Parlor where it was more than just a hair parlor, but a gathering place for the community that many would visit—not only for the service, but for the love, joyfulness, and energy that Beverly brought with her everyday.
Beverly was known for her exuberant, positive attitude that brought laughter and kindness to all whom she interacted with. Beverly never met a stranger. No matter the circumstances, Beverly could be found with a smile and kind heart, focusing on those around her rather than herself. Beverly was dealt many trials and tribulations with her medical history, yet she set an example for how one can have joy and happiness in the midst of significant adversity. Nothing could sum up her outlook on life better than her favorite saying, “Happy Day,” which she would always end her interactions with regardless of the circumstances. She always put others above herself, and all that interacted with Beverly felt her love and thoughtfulness. One of Beverly’s love languages was giving, and as many of those touched by Beverly know - at some point and without fail, Beverly’s thoughtfulness would find its way to you in the form of gifts and words of encouragement. She was loved dearly by those who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 16th, 2022, at New Life Church, 250 Bobby Jones Expy, Augusta, GA 30907, to allow all who loved her to celebrate Beverly's life. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time.
