Anthony Kurt Rackard

Anthony Kurt Rackard, 59, entered into rest on Friday, November 3, 2023, peacefully at his home surrounded by family.

Anthony is preceded in death by his father, Henry Fletcher Rackard; stepfather, Jimmy Delaughter; and his first wife, Nora Rita Rackard. He is survived by his second wife, Cathy Ganus Rackard; mother, Barbara Payne Delaughter; brothers, Terry Carl Rackard and Alex Levi Delaughter (Shanon); nieces, Vanessa Rackard, Danielle Rackard, Jennifer Rackard, and Ashton Johnson (Brett); nephews, Garrett Delaughter and Brandon Tobias; great-niece, Kadence King; Uncle Milton and Aunt Nadine; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family. 

Anthony was retired from Edgefield County Sheriff’s Department after 21 years of service, and he is a former member of Merriwether Fire Department. Anthony will be missed by all who knew him. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Pineview Memorial Gardens, 450 W. Five Notch Road, North Augusta, SC 29841, with Dr. Paul Noe officiating.
