Mr. William "Buddy" West, 87, of Martinez, passed away on June 1, 2025.

Buddy was a lifelong resident of the CSRA and a graduate of Richmond Academy where he played football. He was a salesman for Macon Beauty Supply for over 35 years and on the weekends, he owned his own business west nurseries for over 20 years. He was a member of Abilene Baptist Church and was on the Martinez Merchants Association for many years. When not working he enjoyed horses, dancing, and music. Buddy was one who never met a stranger and was known for his great sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William West Sr., and Ruth West; and his beloved wife of 54 years, Edna West.

Survivors include his children, Greg West (Susan), Angela Thompson, Maurie Cummings (Mike), and Bryan West, and his grandchildren, William Hawn Jr., Trevor Thompson, Byron West, and Tilea West.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Thomas L. King Funeral Home. Services will be private.
