MARTINEZ, Ga. - Entered into rest on April 15, 2016, Mr. William T. (Billy) Reeves, son of the late William H. and Montine P. Reeves. Billy was a Master Barber and ran Golden Shears Barber Shop for many years with family friend and business partner Johnny Nichols. Billy was a computer consultant and he played the guitar in several bands. The band "Dew Hickies" was his most popular. He was a graduate of Richmond Academy, attended Augusta Tech and Augusta College, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Montine P. Reeves; sister, Alice Reeves, niece, Janet M. Harrison and former brother-in-law, Sonny Harrison. Survivors: brother, Robert A. Reeves and wife Dollie, Augusta; nieces, Jasmine N. Reeves, Augusta, Jennifer R. Reeves, Arlington, TX; nephews, Bert Harrison and wife Kristie, Evans, Alan W. Harrison, Evans; great-niece, Brittnie Harrison; great-nephew, Brice Harrison, Evans; also many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with a wide circle of loyal friends, all of whom he cherished. Billy was a kind, gentle soul and a Christian. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Westover Memorial Park with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Visitation will be tonight at the funeral home between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Center, Augusta University Children's Medical Center or the Golden Harvest Food Bank.
