Mr. William "Bill" Ferguson 79, beloved husband of the late Margery Foster Ferguson, entered into rest Saturday, January 31, 2016 at Doctors Hospital. Mr. Ferguson was born in Columbia, TN to the late William and Clara Matthews Ferguson. He was in the U. S. Army where he served in the Vietnam War and later retired from the military after 20 years of service. Mr. Ferguson then worked for and retired from Charter Hospital as a Food Service Supervisor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from the chapel of Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Full military honors will be observed. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Ferguson is also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Mrs. Susan B. Ferguson. Family members include two sons, William B. Ferguson and Jimmy R. Ferguson, both of Augusta, GA; and a step-daughter, Dianne Quinn of Maine. Florist deadline is Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.. Thomas L.
