William McIntyre Danner, 76, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

William is preceded in death by his wife, Janet Sprout Danner; and his parents, Tomas Gilchrist Danner and Anna Ruth McIntyre Danner. He is survived by his loving daughter, Kyra Lewis (John); two grandchildren, Emma Claire and Carson; and his sisters, Carole Danner-Johns and Carmen Marie Danner.

Born on March 17, 1947, in Murphysboro, Illinois, William grew up and served his country in the US Army from 1970 - 1979. He served in Korea, then made his way to Fort Gordon, Georgia, where he met his beloved wife, Janet, and started a family. William continued his life helping others as a civilian social worker through the Army.

William was loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Private interment with military honors will be held at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
