SMSGT (Ret.) Wendell Wayne Stephenson, beloved husband of the late Virginia "Ginny" Stephenson, passed away on October 26, 2025.

Wendell was originally from Ohio but lived in Augusta for many years. He proudly served his country, retiring after 26 years in the U.S. Airforce. He enjoyed traveling in his RV with his beloved wife Ginny, often visiting Myrtle Beach. He loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and will be deeply missed.

In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Survivors include his daughter, Deanna Eden (Rick); his brother, Kermit Stephenson; 2 grandchildren, Jenna Waters (Logan) and Amber Denning (Herbert); and 2 great grandchildren, Hadley and Haven.

A graveside service will be held Thursday October 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
