Obituary

Walter C. Allison peacefully entered into rest October 25, 2018, at his home in Martinez. A two-war veteran, he retired from the US Army with twenty-three years of service and then continued to serve another twenty years as a civilian at Dwight D. Eisenhower Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Sandra L. Allison; son, Leonard Allison (Jeannie); daughter, Gloria Paulos (Blake); stepsons, Troy Green (Amy) and Chris Green (Jennifer); seven grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Angel Allison and son, Rex Allison. In addition to fishing, playing cards and building bluebird houses, he loved to fellowship and camp with the Holiday Ramblers Camping Club. The family is grateful to all of the staff with Trinity Hospice for the loving care they provided. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Martinez Methodist Church, 3614 Washington Road, Martinez, GA, officiated by Rev. Gary McWhorter. Interment will follow at Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church, 4478 GA Highway 220 E, Lincolnton, GA, at 1:00 P.M. with full military honors, and officiated by Rev. James James. Pallbearers will include grandsons: Charlie Allison, Jarrod Allison, Jesse Allison, Josh Paulos, Ryan Green, and stepson, Chris Green, along with members of the Ft. Gordon Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez, on Monday, October 29, 2018, from 6-8 P.M.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Martin's Crossroads Church Building Fund, Thomas L.
