Virginia G. Kitchens, 81, entered into rest on Monday, July 17, 2023.

Virginia was born in Bayard, New Mexico, to the late Rosalie Gonzales and Theodora Rodriguez Gonzales as the youngest of 13 children. She married her her husband of 60 years, Bill Kitchens, on April 20,1963 in Fort Bliss, Texas. She Is a retired 911 operator with Burke EMA. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, and was incredibly proud of her grandchildren. She was an avid fan of her Dallas Cowboys and Georgia Bulldogs football.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her oldest grandson, Joey Kitchens; her brothers, Alfred Gonzales, Robert Gonzales, Lino Gonzales, Juan Gonzales, Leo Gonzales, Lencho Gonzales, and Benny Gonzales; two sisters, Sara Weddle and Rebecca Borunda; and three siblings who passed in infancy. She is survived by her husband, Bill Kitchens; sons, David Kitchens (Teresa) of Grovetown Ga and Billy Kitchens (Tamera) of Waynesboro Ga; daughters, Debra Hutcheson (Troy) of Waynesboro Ga and Nichole Hammock (Robbie) of Waynesboro Ga; grandchildren, Samantha Kitchens, Matthew (Stacey) Kitchens, Miranda Kitchens, Ashton Kitchens, Kanon Daniel, Nan Daniel, and Emily Hammock; three great-grandchildren; and hosts of nieces and nephews.
