Vera May King, 72, entered into rest on Sunday, June 16, 2024.

With a heavy heart we say goodbye to Vera, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her sudden passing took us by surprise and has altered our lives and hearts forever, we know she was not ready to leave us. She will be missed dearly.

Vera was born in Cleveland, and she spent part of her years in Florida before moving to Georgia. Vera loved to travel to see her family near and far. Her favorite trip was with her husband to Italy in 2022, it was a dream come true. Her passion was cooking and entertaining, and she would always send you home with leftovers. She loved a glass of wine. Vera had a giving heart and would help anyone. She never met a stranger, and she would stop and make conversation everywhere she would go. Vera loved to go antiquing and junking to buy stuff to resell. She has been a longtime seller on ebay for over 20 years and recently started selling on a few facebook groups which she just loved.

Vera is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Anthony Cassella of Tavares Fl; her mother, Marjorie Cassella of Eustis FL; brothers, Christopher Cassella of Tavares FL and Dominic R. Cassella of Eustis FL; sister, Pauline E. Compton of Valdosta GA; and her niece, Tina Stanten of Valdosta GA.

She is survived by her husband, Willie F. King of Grovetown GA; her daughter, Rachel M. Cobb of Grovetown GA; stepdaughter, Frankie Munchur of Dothan AL; granddaughter, Porscha Lee Cobb-Murray (Jamel) of Grovetown GA; grandson, Marcuus K. Cobb of Grovetown GA; great-grandchildren, Adriaan Cobb, Alana Tutt, Audrianna Murray, Arianna Murray, and Alessandra Murray; brothers, Joseph A.
