Vera Huffman Byrd, 85, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

Vera is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Janie Huffman; her son, Joseph Gordon Byrd; brothers, Junior Huffman and Colden Huffman; and her younger sister, Marie. She is survived by her loving son, Adam Byrd (Melissa - deceased) who was so attentive and caring towards his mother; grandsons, Jeff Byrd (Lyndsey) and Ryan Langston (Chrishaun); and her great-grandchildren, Henry Craig Byrd and Wyatt Gordon Byrd.

Vera loved her family and loved helping people. She had a creative eye with great artistic ability, and was also known for her sewing skills, sewing many beautiful skirts and tops. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and she really enjoyed researching the family history. Vera's loving nature was shown in her love of dogs, and she always had a dog. Vera will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 3:00 - 5:00pm on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez, GA 30907.
