Valerie Maureen Ortiz "Bobby" was born on May 3rd 1992 in her beloved island of Puerto Rico. Her parents moved to Augusta, Ga in July 1997 and made Augusta their forever home. She passed away unexpectedly on February 02, 2024. Valerie, the middle child to Ivy Seese and Eddie Ortiz, is survived by her parents; sister, Stephanie Sharleen Ortiz; brother, Edward Sebastian Ortiz; and her kids, Phoenix Bentley Wilson, Hazel Ivelisse Pruitt, and River Blake Pruitt. Valerie was predeceased by her uncle, Manuel Negron (1997); great-grandmother, Josefina Hernandez (2018); and stepfather, Dewaine Seese (2021). Valerie went to Cross Creek High School and then to Georgia Institute of Cosmetology to pursue her dream of becoming a Master Cosmetologist where she graduated with a Magna Cum Laude. She went on to work at Great Clips all around the CSRA for 12 years. Valerie was an exceptional Hairstylist/Barber, she was passionate about her career. As a true country girl she loved to tear down a good dirt-road, "mud running" in her jeep blasting country music, she hit every single backroad in Augusta with her sister, friends and her beloved Phoenix.

Her legacy will carry on forever, we will never forget the precious, exotic, wild, free spirited, loving baby girl. Every I love you from her mom was followed by " I love you more". She was mommy's ride or die till the end. She loved her dad unconditionally. She loved her sister and brother the same way. Her kids were her strength and weakness at the same time, they were her heart and soul…
