Ms. Tonya Sorrells, entered into rest on Thursday, May 12, 2022, in Harlem, Georgia. Tonya was born in Augusta, Georgia, and raised in Thomson, Georgia. In early adulthood, Tonya worked in Medical Coding within various hospital settings, until she became sick and diagnosed with a life-long terminal illness. It was during this time Tonya became a Homemaker and caregiver as years passed for her mother. Her love of God, children and family defined her life. Tonya was a very loving person and would give anything she had to ensure others never went without. Tonya loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Being a "Nana" and holding her babies brought Tonya much comfort and joy.

Tonya is preceded in death by her mother, Mamie Newman; father, Randall Reeves; sister, Barbara Phillips; and brother, Wayne Findley. She is survived by her children, Chelsey Dixon and Calvin Sorrells; brother, Randy Reeves; sister in law, Lisa Findley; grandchildren, Mercedes Dixon, Jason Dixon, Messiah Brown, Zendaya Brown, Leonard Brown, Nolan Sorrells, and AnnMarie Sorrells; nephews, Nash Higdon, Jacob Reeves, and Gavin Findley; nieces, Abbie Findley and Jenny Phillips; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Faith Baptist Church, 973 Salem Rd, Thomson, GA 30824. The family will greet friends at the church two hours prior to service time. Refreshments wIll follow immediately after in the fellowship hall.
