Thomas "Tommy" Allen Butler Sr., age 70, of Augusta, GA, entered into rest on Thursday, March 30, 2023.

Tommy was retired, but held different occupations in his time. He was a print shop operator, cabinet maker, and he even spent some time making whiskey barrels. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Grovetown, GA. Tommy was a caring man who spent his later years in life helping his sister and family in Georgia. He will be greatly missed by his children and family.

Tommy is survived by his sons, Thomas (Tricia) Butler and Timothy (April) Butler, both of Covington, TN; daughter, Brandy (Michael) Ellis of Rossville, TN; sister, Barbara Oullette, of Augusta, GA; brother, Joseph (Florence) Butler of Olive Branch, MS; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Louise Butler; sister, Mary Ann Carson; brother, Henry Butler Jr.; and grandson, Mickey Butler. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Patricia Dabney, Michael (Jill) Oullette,and Bonnie (Mark) Tate, for the special care they provided to Tommy over the years. All of the children are grateful for the love and care provided to their father. Graveside services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Westover Memorial Park, 2601 Wheeler Road, Augusta, GA 30904. A mass will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Road, Grovetown, GA 30813. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Tommy's honor to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
