Terry Wayne Wood Sr, 63, of Grovetown, passed away on June 27, 2026.

Terry was a lifelong resident of the Augusta area and was a cabinet maker and chemical engineer. He was a volunteer firefighter with Columbia County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Leroy Wood Sr., and Juanita Wood; and a grandchild, Maverick.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Wood; his children, Terry Wood Jr. (Lane), Jeffery Wood, and Laura Saldaña (Joseph); his stepson, Bobby Mills (Samantha); siblings, Thomas Wood Jr. (Bonnie), David Wood Sr. (Evelyn), Dale Wood, Kathy Kirkland (Paul), and Margie Sherrill; his grandchildren, Autumn, Ali, Emily, Addie, Bradley and R.J.; his nieces who are like daughters to him, Alexis Austin, Everly Austin, and Natalie Austin, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

A Memorial Service will be held on July 11, 2026 at 3:00 PM At the Columbia County Amphitheater Dragon Fly Pavilion, 7022 Evans Town Center Blvd, with Rev. Larry Williams and Rev. Steve Thompson officiating. A celebration of life will follow the service at Journey Community Chruch, 4798 Hardy McManus Rd. Evans GA 30907.
