Loving husband, son, brother ('my hero' to sister Susie); father, Papa; Great Grandfather, Terrell Washburn passed peacefully at home on October 25, 2025. Terrell grew up in Gainesville, Ga but has lived in North Augusta for many years. He was baptized in 1961 and recommitted his heart to Jesus prior to his death.

He married Joann, the love of his life in 1978 and became an instant father of five. After a career as an owner-operator truck driver, dispatcher, and terminal manager, Terrell retired to enjoy life with Joann, the grandchildren and great grandchildren, and friends at the gun shop.

Terrell's commitment to Joann has always been to care for her and live at least one day longer. He exceeded that commitment by 52 days.

One of Terrell's great accomplishments was his choice to walk the path of recovery many years ago. His commitment to sobriety was a gift to Joann and family and a help and encouragement to many.

We love you Terrell, Terry, T, Papa. We will see you again!

Terrell is survived  by sister Susie Franklin (John); niece Faith; nephews Randy and Johnny; brothers Steve Washburn and Danny Washburn (Claire); brother-by-choice Steve Fishman; aunt and faithful correspondent Willene Thomas; children Patrick Meagher (Beth); Cathy, Michael, Daniel Meagher; Nancy Greer; Holly Newberry (Robert); 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Terrell is predeceased by spouse, Joann; parents, Doris Peppers Washburn Smith Hinds and Elvin Washburn; his sister, Joni Smith Swanson;  granddaughter, Erin Meagher Tucker; son, Greg Meagher.

A Celebration of life will be held at Trinity on the Hill Methodist Church, 1330 Monte Sano Ave Augusta Ga 30904 on December 4, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. Come as you are.
