Obituary

‘Tena’ Marion Rebecca Doyle Bosdell-Taylor born 7/1/1944 in Metter Ga. to Henry Onnie Doyle and Susie Bell Arrington Doyle passed away on January 27, 2026. Born the only daughter, with 4 brothers, she no doubly knew how to hold her own! Survived by: Onnie Doyle Jr. (proceeded by-Betty), Wynnon Doyle (Rose). Proceeded by Burnie Doyle (Pearl) and Glen Doyle (survived by-Shirley). She spent the majority of her life in Augusta Ga., where she lovingly, courageously and solely raised 4 strong children, who were in awe of her; survived by, Angela Bosdell, Timothy Bosdell, and Tina Nichols (Timmy). Proceeded by James “little Jimmy” Bosdell Jr.. She is also proceeded by her husband and the love of her life, Harold ‘Randy’ Taylor. She loved and enjoyed 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

By profession Tena was a skilled secretary and a devoted mother, but more importantly she was larger than life to those who knew and loved her! She was no stranger to the darkness or struggles of this life, but despite any trials and tribulations, she lived it fully and unapologetically. She always found away to shine and she possessed such an alluring zest for life. She was full of fire, sass and unmatchable strength and beautiful. Above all else she adored spending time with her family and friends and having a good time, she was definitely the life of any party. She brightened every room with her contagious smile and resonating light. Her spunk and wit captivated those in her presence effortlessly. Beyond that she had the biggest heart, she loved so freely and accepted people just as they were; no judgement of their past or circumstances. She would often open her home and heart to others in need, sharing whatever she had, no matter how little. She was a force to be reckoned with to say the least and this world is so much less of a place without her in it!

She was a fierce fighter her whole life, so it was no surprise she went out a worrier, just as she lived, still defying all the odds. After a brutal, hard fought battle with cancer, she gained her wings and made her way home to be with our Heavenly Father, and all those she loves who have been waiting to rejoice welcoming her home, where she is now free at last! Oh what a sight that surly is!

In her last days she was surrounded by the love, respect and the tender care she deserved. Her absence in this life will be felt so deeply by so many, but her memory will be rejoiced, celebrated and carried throughout time in the hearts of all of us!

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday 11/7/2026 12pm - 3pm at Old Hephzibah Farmers Club, 2602 SR - 88 Hephzibah, GA 30815. Graveside for prayer and burial will follow 3:30/4pm at Hephzibah Vance Cemetery 2516 GA Highway 88 Hephzibah, GA 30815
