Stephen Gregory Padgett, 65 of Grovetown, Ga., passed away suddenly on February 14, 2023, at his home.

He is survived by his mother, W. Jean Jones of Hephzibah; his sisters, Debra West (Paul) of  Grovetown, and Patricia Deese (Duane) of Evans; his brother, Larry Padgett of Augusta; his nephews, Caleb Arbor, Tristen West, and Ryan West;  nieces, Tammy Corley , Annabeth West, and Emily Weathers; great- nephews, John Corley and Brendon Weathers; great-nieces, Hannah Corley and Madison Weathers; his uncle, John Smart (Rose) of Tomah, Wisconsin; and many cousins.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Chaplain John Williams for his support, to the staff of The Place at Deans Bridge, and to Debra Jewell, Susan Herrin, and Barbara Jean Roberts for their help and support caring for Greg.

The family will receive friends for a celebration of life visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 23rd, 2023 at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez, GA 30907.
