Shirley Camilla Maddox, age 87, of Augusta, GA, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022.

Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a homemaker who loved her family very much. She enjoyed having family cookouts for special occasions. She loved to cook and garden; in her early years she enjoyed fishing and having a good time with her friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bunyan and Mary Powell; her husband, Oscar "OC" Maddox; and her son, Tony "Boy" Powell. She is survived by her brother, William "Buck" Powell; her daughter, Tammy Powell; her sons, Tommy "Scooter" Powell and James Maddox, his wife Jennifer Maddox and their partner Tasha Phillips; stepdaughter, Terry Waks (Larry); stepsons, Jerry Maddox (Wanda) and Lester Maddox (Wendy); grandchildren, Tony Powell Jr, Mason Powell, Devin Powell, Kelli Villalba (Chris), Michael Powell (Camry), and Mary Powell; 10 great-grandchildren; her niece, Ann Jones; nephew, William David Powell Jr.; and many extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am - 1:00pm on Monday, March 7th, 2022, at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road Martinez, GA 30907. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, March 7th, 2022, at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, GA 30813.
