Mrs. Shirley Doyle Auvil, 80, entered into rest on Thursday, November 30, 2023.

Mrs. Auvil was born in Augusta, GA on March 10, 1943. She was married to the late Michael Rosenkrantz.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Auvil is preceded in death by her son, William "Red" Scott Jacobs; her parents, James and Mildred Doyle; and a brother, Dewey Franklin Barfield. She is survived by two sons; Robert Creighton of North Augusta, SC, and Anthony Creighton (Meachell) of Lincolnton, GA; a daughter; Carol Ann Like of Lexington, SC; two sisters, Carol Duggan (Gene) of Evans, GA, and Johnell Bowman of Augusta, GA; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to her nurse, Lamesia Tompkins, who took such loving care of Mrs. Auvil.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in the chapel at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Road, Martinez GA 30907, with Reverend Terry Doss officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
