Sherry Elaine Shelton, 73, wife of the late Willie Frank Shelton Jr, of Martinez, passed away on May 19, 2026.

Sherry was a lifeong resident of the Augusta area. She was retired from the accounting area of the Augusta Courthouse. A faithful loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Sherry loved all of her family very much. She also had many devoted friends that she loved dearly. "She lived a simple life but greatful and content."

Sherry is preceded in death by her brother George Allen Hendrix, II

Sherry is survived by her son, Matthew Shelton; granddaughters, Kylee and Kaidence Shelton; sisters, Dianne Turner (Ken), Susan Davis (Ben); and many nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held Saturday June 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park. the family will recieve friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the graveside. 

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice.
