Mr. Shelly Wayne Morris, 88, of Martinez, passed away on January 27, 2025.

Mr. Morris was a lifelong area resident and a retired painter. He was member of Martinez Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and even sang in the choir. He enjoyed golfing, camping, and fishing. Wayne was an honorable man known for his nature and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Connie Morris; his daughters, Michelle Haneburger (Bruce), and Dee-Dee McGoldrich (Rob); the mother of his children, Helen Morris; his daughters inherited by marriage, Mary Ann Story, Jodie Hughes (Jimmy), and Melissa Steed (Jim); his sisters, Faye Miller, Patricia Black, and Gloria Johnson; his grandchildren, Jacob Haneburger, Matthew Haneburger, Adam Haneburger, Ava McGoldrich; 5 great grandchildren; his grandchildren inherited by marriage, Libby Armstrong, Renee Rawlins, John Story, Angie Milam, Mel Story, Jake Hughes, Hanna Lilly, Rachel Goode, Abby Hughes, Andrew Steed, and Dalton Steed; as well as 8 great grandchildren inherited by marriage; special prayer partner, Troy Milam, and many other family members.

Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip Winsett officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
