Mrs. Shelby Jean Skinner Finch, 78, beloved wife of the late Aubrey Finch, entered into rest Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Mrs. Finch was born in Statesboro, GA to the late Dave and Lily Ackerman Skinner. Mrs. Finch was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and always put her family first. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Thomas L. King Chapel with Reverend Bobby Coleman officiating. Pallbearers are Chris Dubose, Trey Price, Chad Newton, Edward Newton, Adam Williams, and Travis Skinner. In addition to Mrs. Finch's parents, she is also preceded in death by a daughter, Audrey Kay Newton. Family members include a daughter, Shelia Newton and her husband Alvin of Augusta; a son in law, Larry Newton of Augusta; 4 grandchildren, Brittany Dubose, Brooke Price, Jason Newton, and Larry Newton, Jr.; 7 great grandchildren, Aubrey, Payton, Brody, Vivian, Brooklyn, Mason, and Laine.
