Shane was born in Ft. Dix, N.J., on December 13, 1973, where he lived for a few short months before moving to Hawaii. After Hawaii, Shane and his parents moved to Grovetown (where his little sister was born) then Indiana, Atlanta and California. After his dad retired from the U.S. Army in 1986, Shane and his family returned back to Grovetown. Shane graduated from Harlem High School in 1994. In 1999, Shane started working in the Locating Industry where he earned special recognitions for his hard work and dedication. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with friends, working on cars, being at the lake, camping, traveling and cooking for others. Most of his time was spent at the lake fishing with his best friend, Brad Edge. He loved to be surrounded by people, he loved all kids to the core, but mostly his kids Shelby and Cody.
Shane had a deep love for his two labs, Muncie and Moose. They were always by his side, brought him so much joy and companionship.
Shane was preceded in death by his parents, the late Toni Gail Hozey and the late John F.W. Hozey and his grandson Jaxxon Kyle Rogers.
He is survived by his wife, Crystal; his children, Shelby Leopard (Tyler), Cody Hozey (Amanda), Jonathan Rogers (Hannah); his sister, Lindsay Edge (Brad); nephew and niece, LB Edge (Kayley), Makenzie Edge (Sissy, better known as "Mickey" to Shane), the mother of his children, Jenny Martin; his Aunt Tami and his cousins LuAnna and Ted E.
