Sara "Sally" Mae Carpenter, 78, entered into rest on Monday, September 25, 2023. Sally was born on July 5th, 1945, in Somerset PA, the first of four children.

Sally is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond R. Creech Sr. and Sara B. Baer; brother, Raymond "Chip" Rayford Creech Jr.; and her sons, Earl Douglas "Doug" Carpenter Jr. and Alan Jeffery Carpenter. Survivors include her sons, Paul Gregory Carpenter and Joel David Carpenter; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Sally loved reading mystery books, solving puzzles, and a good action movie. She enjoyed the beach and cool ocean breezes. She once stated that a large sun umbrella, lounge chair, and a cooler on the beach with a novel, were the closest things she could find to a piece of heaven. Sally was an open person who was not afraid to say what needed to be said. She was a very caring mother/grandmother, retired customer service/homemaker and dedicated mother and grandmother. To Momma/Nanna - Enjoy the breeze on your face once again!!! You don't have to worry momma, your heart and feelings taught your children to survive. Your family misses you and there will never be enough loose earth to fill the holes that you leave behind. Your sons loved you.
