Sandra "Sandy" Jarrell Sanders, 71, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away on July 4, 2023, in Augusta. She was born at St Joseph Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. Sandy was the daughter of the late Thomas and Jean Jarrell. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lynda Jarrell Moore, Barbara Jarrell; her brother, Jeff Jarrell; and her husband, Danny Sanders.

Sandy obtained her bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Georgia. She was a beloved art teacher at a middle school in Atlanta, Georgia, where she shared her passion for creativity, inspiring countless students. She also worked as a graphic designer on St. Simons Island, Georgia, as well as in Cumberland, Florida, where she showcased her talent and artistic flair.

Sandy had a vibrant personality and a zest for life. She never missed an opportunity to cheer for the Georgia BullDAWGS and was a devoted fan. Sandy also enjoyed spending time at the beach and cherished her visits to Murpheys Tavern.

She is survived by her cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever cherish the memories and laughs they shared with her.

A ceremony to celebrate Sandy's life will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Westover Memorial Park, 2601 Wheeler Road, Augusta, Georgia, 30904.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests a selfless act of kindness in remembrance Sandy.

Sandy's creativity, passion, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
