Russell J. Maddox, 64, of Grovetown, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026.

Russell was a lifelong Augusta resident and a graduate of Westside High School. He was a longtime member of St. Mary on The Hill Catholic Church. Russell was a hard worker and even owned his own company Consolidated Controls. He was an avid golfer as well and serves a president of The Bartram Trail Mens Golf Association. Russell even won the club championship at 3 different golf clubs, The Patch, Forrest Hills, and Bartram Trail. He was also a very kind and charitable man. He was a beloved husband, son, brother and friend to many and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Maddox.

Survivors include his wife, Terry Maddox; his mother, Margaret Maddox; and his siblings, Jack Maddox and Lynn Cannon.

The Holy Rosary will be recited on Monday, July 27, 2026 at 6:00 PM at Thomas L. King Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 in Westview Cemetery Augusta, 2051 Division St., with Father Jared Miller Celebrant. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Donnie Smith, Patrick Mulvehill, Tony Kearns, Scott Skadan, Mark Turner, and Gary Cato. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Bartram Trail Mens Golf Association. The family kindly asks everyone dress casual for the graveside service.
