Russell "Russ" Hutto, 81, entered onto the banks of Heaven, August, 22nd, surrounded by his loving family.

Russ was born in Aiken, S.C. December 9, 1944 to the late William and Pearl Hutto. He was a proud Army Veteran, who loved his family, the Crimson Tide, funny jokes and most of all a good fishing hole. His generosity knew no bounds, always willing to lend a hand and give freely to any and everyone. Russ worked for the same chemical plant in SC for 54 years where he made many, life long friends.

Russ is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sarah Chastain Hutto, of Grovetown GA; daughter, Amanda Meads (Eric); grandsons, Jackson Meads and Dalton Meads; bonus daughter; Amber Chastain; sisters, Susie Glazener (Richard Gary) and Catherine Heath; brother Larry Hutto; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Russ is proceeded in death by his son William A. Hutto; his brothers Hermon “Buddy” Hutto, Horace Hutto, Kenny Hutto and Peter Hutto.

Russ' wish was to be cremated. A private celebration of life will be held for close friends and family at a later date.

The family would like to thank all of the staff in Heros Point, at the Charlie Norwood VA, for their compassion and care.
